It follows the Marshall 18 Watt design using a pair of EL84s in a push-pull configuration.
Below is a...

It sounds phenominal. The clean channel has really nice tone. I was a little unsure as to whether I could tackle soldering the tube amp together but after getting into it I found it relaxing. The...
Almost a year ago I built a speaker monitor for a professional harp player friend of mine. After completing the cabinet I was asked to make a second one...well this one I held on to. I decided to...
Thanks for the feedback.
I suggested the metal corners but he wanted to keep the cabinet as is. It will be interesting to see how it holds up.
He uses a JT30 Bullit mic with a chrystal element. He is into the vintage sound so it should sound good.
One of the reasons I went with canary wood is because it is used to build speaker...

About a month ago I was talking to a good friend of mine that is a professional harmonica player. He had bought 4 speakers and wanted to build a cabinet so he could connect it to his amp on stage. I...
Hey Mack, if you need a hand with variable speed let me know.
I am planning to make some cutting boards and the wood I chose was cherry and abarco. I should have done some research ahead of time. Does anyone know whether Abarco would be an issue when used as a...
The pump I went with was a model 71R645 GAST twin cylinder pump rated at 4.35CFM. I purchased the majority of the parts from the Joewoodworker web site. If you want to get a better understanding of...
During the summer I was looking into vacuum presses. I thought I would share the press I built. I purchased the pump off of ebay and most of the parts came from Joe Woodworker. I wired it up for...
I was very pleased with the GI 50-220 but after rebuilding a Rockwell lathe and than a disc/belt sander the next logical step was a Rockwell 3HP 1PH unisaw. The intention was to buy a fixer upper but...
Some pics of the filing drawers.
I finally received the filing drawer slides. Here are more pics. The armoire pics emphasize the rear maple backing but it is not as pronounced in person.
I am just waiting for the drawer slides to come in at the end of this week. The drawers are done and ready to be installed.
Ryan, the pics with the red tape on the DC piping are from the previous owner. I built a 5HP cyclone from the Bill Pentz design and to seal the joints I used aluminum tape.
Pete when you say...
I was rebuilding the sander while building a couple of desk so I actually have not used the sander yet so... there is no particular reason why it is in that position.:)
Thanks for the feedback. I am really beginning to appreciate old iron. Unfortunately my shop is in the basement so weight is a limitation. If I could find an old 3HP Rockwell unisaw to refurb that...
Based on the serial number and the OWWM web site this machine was from 1975.
I purchased this Rockwell Delta 31-710 disc belt sander just over a month ago. The previous owner purchased it from the school board. The first two pics are prior to me picking it up. It was...
Both are functional but it will be done when the drawers are installed :D
