Makes sense on a piece of wood that has a very short face (that touches the fence)...like a 6' long 2x4 for example. But what about a piece of plywood that is 40" wide x 20" tall?...

Thanks everyone for the info. I looked into the CMT Fine Cut-off blade.
Looks like a good direction to go in. Will that one be pretty chip free?
