I’ve used acetone , but I’ve been told it has some oil in it ! Pretty sure the info was good , and MEK is probably better. But haven’t
had any failures using the acetone . Probably won’t need...

You have to know where the Public Right of Way is . The fence has to be entirely on your property, or it’s an “obstruction” and you

Those knuckle planes are fine users, Haven’t seen any for sale in a long time , much easier to use than those “ puzzle planes”.

I recently saw a vender on line selling small pieces at high prices. Google it. GOOD macrophyla mahogany is still great stuff, I would use that. A good horse is better than a newly painted...

and .. epoxy is an adhesive , not a glue, don’t use pressure , or you will have ‘a POX’ on your project.

Titebond 3 Will probably work , if you remove the oil in the pieces.

And here’s a tip , never use mayonnaise as glue. Yes , it will stick two pieces of bread together….but NOT wood.

I had same trouble once. Someone informed me that Acetone has OIL in it. If you want to use it , I would then clean the surfaces
with denatured alcohol.

It’s a Pox on your Epoxy ! You need a good Gypsy to fix it ! I’m bringing back POX ‘cuz it’s scientific and contains no vile language.

My guess is the material was just air dried, not kiln dried.
