Your design could be desirable for people without back problems too. Well done.
Nice work. I'm sure your friend will get a lot of use out of it.
The folks at Klockit.com have been very good to work with on my clock projects. I don't know if they have anything american made though.
Can always use an impact driver - thanks!
I have had an HTC 2000 under my Powermatic 141 bandsaw (~400 lb) for several years, and have not had any problem with the plastic levers.

I have that planer, but I have not had the chatter issue that you describe. Does the grain of the wood change in that area? Brian
The Ridgid is a good little sander, even better when you can get a screamin' deal like you did.

Very nice bench. Is that maple? You have a right to be proud of that one.

I recently made a benchtop router table out of a sink cut-out that I got (free!) from a friend who remodels kitchens. Couldn't choose the color, but the price was right.

These are awesome machines! Please include me in the drawing.
Looks like a good project Tim. Keep us posted on your progress.
Don't rule out the Makita 2012NB. I bought one about 2 years ago and I am very happy with it.
Nice looking box, Jim. I'm sure your grandson will love it.
Nice upgrades. Sounds like you got the ol' hot rod spirit - taking a (vehicle, tool, or add other noun here) and making it the way you want it.
Nice cabinets, Jeff. You did all that in just 9 days?! That would take me a month or more.
Thanks for reminding us that you don't need a big fancy workshop full of expensive gizmos to do beautiful work.
I don't know what the weight rating is for those kind of things, but I wouldn't trust them for something as heavy as lumber. Especially if a nice car, family member, etc. could be underneath.

Awesome bench! Well done.
Magnificent.
You will find lots of opinions on how to do hand-cut dovetails - pins first, tails first, etc. The bottom line is, find a method that works for you and stick with it, and practice, practice,...
Oh my goodness, that is one awesome cabinet. Nice work.

Beautiful job. I've always wanted to build one of those.
Charlie, I think your legs look great. Your clavichord's legs, that is.
It is my understanding that Anant bought the patterns for the Record vises when Record went out of business. I bought the middle-sized Anant recently, and am very happy with it.
