I took it apart (lots of grease) and couldn't see anything wrong. Put back together. Still no go.

Set fence on ts to 1/8" and rip away. Could have ripped a dozen strips in the time it took to read these posts.
That's the way to fix it. I have a Jet Xacta fence (Biews clone) and they have nylon adjustment screws on the fence, to adjust for 90 deg. to table.
When Lowes was giving Bies. fence kits away for...
Most of my cross cuts are done on my Red Star ras. Real short pieces are cut on a small sled.
I would first, remove the belts, and see if the pulley set screws are tight. Also spin the arbor and see how it feels/sounds. Also, give the arbor a few good shoves and see if it moves at all.
Spin...
I have the same set, branded, Dewalt. It's a great set! For $90 it can't be beat.
I would buy another, if I needed a new set.
But the 1587 has a handle. I love my old 1582vs, barrel grip
I agree with going to a steel supplier. I needed rails and 2x3 tube for an Exacta fence I have, and got 3/16" wall tubing from a supplier. It doesn't move at all. A little extra weight doesn't hurt a...
Not fancy, but it is handy. It's an arms length from my ts. Behind the drawers is a "Golden Rod" dehumidifier rod, to fight moisture.
If I had a lathe, drill press, and table saw, I wouldn't buy one for $100 either.
I bought one in 1975, for $100, and still have it. I now have all individual tools, but don't have a lathe, of 12"...
[QUOTE=Nathan Allen;1512177]Functionally identical, heck the Bessey clamp extenders even work on the Jorgensens.
Have you used the Bessey extenders? I heard they don't fit.
I rigged a weight, inside the tube for table lift. The weight is a piece of exhaust tubing, filled with lead. The head on the 60's Craftsman drill press is open in the middle, so the rope can go down...
I made a mount for a router on my ras. It works good. So far, I have just used it for dados. Would work as a pin router also.
At a drug store, you can buy a 6' or so piece, with handles at each end. It's an exercise deal. Just in case you can't buy just the tubing.
I have used a friends Unifence on his Unisaw quite a few times, before I got my old Unisaur. I put a Biesemeyer (Jet Exacta clone) and prefer it to the unifence.
My friend, would trade his for a...
"Lumber Yard" over on Woodnet, is selling NIB, Jet 16" bs fence kits for $47 + $20 shipping. Someone is selling them on Ebay also.
I installed one on my Delta 14" Great fence
I have the 1000SE and love it. I had a magnet with a mounting plate with a hole in it. I removed the left screw on the protracter scale and bolted the magnet there. It holds the hex driver when I'm...
Justify woodworking? It's cheaper than a Shrink!
[QUOTE=Salem Ganzhorn;1188496] Unfortunately the owner did not have the infeed/outfeed rollers.
.
Also wondering if I should expect horrible sinpe without the rollers. Didn't they sell the...
A lot stories grow with each telling.
Back in 1963 or so I had a job in the meat department of a A&P food store.
The old guys told a story about one time in a store, they came in in the morning and...
When I first put the router in the TS extension table, I clamped a fenct to the tables saw fence. This worked, but old fast, when I found I needed to do a rip, and didn't want to unset the router...
If you have the fence and short tube and angle, you could do as I did and go to a steel supplier and get the 2 x 3 tube and angle iron. Less than 1/2 price. And ycan get a thicker wall. I used 3/16....
770 #'s A light weight.
The the motors in the previous post most likly weigh that much!

Here's one way.
I just waxed the tube. Bought a Starret stick on tape.
1/4" is real overkill. I got the 3/16 because the supplier didn't have 1/8"
