Would you use a #5 or #7 as a smoother for this tabletop?
I was going to get it, but I didn't see the "Buy Now" button.
I hoping it doesn't end up as a coporate boardroom table. Those guys would request it with dark walnut stain globbed on.
i think that is an old article... i beleive i read somewhere awhile ago that it became the table in a winery. and that they put a nice finish on it, not some junky stain

Wood in every shelf and nook and cranny,,, seriously too much wood!
I would have bought it but they only had one. I mean, I'd have to have one to practice on...
The title of the post isn't quite accurate. The largest piece of solid wood in the world is probably the Sequoia called General Sherman. It is 275 feet tall and 102 feet in circumference at the ground. It is calculated to contain 630,000 board feet.
Epilog 24TT(somewhere between 35-45 watts), CorelX4, Photograv(the old one, it works!), HotStamping, Pantograph, Vulcanizer, PolymerPlatemaker, Sandblasting Cabinet, and a 30 year collection of Assorted 'Junque'

I Have to think outside the box.. I don't fit in it anymore
Experience is a wonderful thing.
It enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.
Every silver lining has a cloud around it
Semantics be darned but I tend to think of General Sherman as the largest living thing and peeling the onion further, the largest living tree.
I tend to not think of a living tree being wood until a human has taken some sharp metal to it to size it down a bit into a form more useful for a human....
Perhaps the term "board" would have been better than "wood" in this case?
I like that they have a convenient "Add To Cart" button for this piece... LOL
