Great review Rod. Looks like I'm going to soon be out another $30.

Gainesville, huh? Looks like we need to get together.
Anytime you're headed up I-75 or otherwise in the area, give me a call. I'd love to share a cold beer with you and talk a little woodworking. That goes for any of you Creekers.

That is a great review! I was thinking about buying this DVD, but now it is on my list. Thanks again!
I was fortunate to be on hand for part of the production of this DVD... and to have taken a one on one lesson from Bill a year before. The Bill you see in the DVD is the same Bill I took my lesson with... albeit with a bit more "turning muscle".. but then again so do I.. LOL..
I have been fortunate enough to have access to some very fine turners in the 3 clubs I belong to, and they are all fantastic teachers. But Bill gives that something extra to his lessons that just can not be described.
This is definately a must have for any bowl turner's library of information...

The first person I ever saw turn a bowl was Bill Grumbine, and I can't say enough good things about this guy. I am so glad he went to the trouble of making his video. Any of you that are new to bowl turning or thinking about getting into it should think about buying this. You might want to go spend a day for a hands on lesson with Bill, believe me it will be well worth your time. Develop good skills early on rather than trying to break bad habits. I don't get any money from the above statements, just trying to help.

Okay. You've sold me. Now where can I get the video?
I bought the video over a month ago and was impressed with it-- Bill does a nice job of explaining each step from the tree to the final bowl.

I guess I was too clever for my own good. The picture in the review is a clickable link to WonderfulWood.com
Great review, Rod and I agree on all your points! I immediately jumped on board when the video was announced and agree that it's worth the money and the time spent watching it. In my case, I've watched it twice now and pick up a little something more each time. For all those who *might* be interested , but have not yet done so, listen to what Rod's got to say here and just get one!

Hey Rod!
Great to see you back in the Creek! I've missed your witty and insightful comments. Hope you come back again soon.
I completely agree with your review- it's spot on. I decided to get the DVD on a whim as I had not turned in several months- boy, did it give me the "fever" to get back at it!
My daughter enjoyed it too- especially the music!
