    Quilted Maple Platter

Measures 12"d x 1 3/8"h finished with a wipe on poly, still need to be buffed. but I have no time to wait for the finish to cure as we leave tonight for China and this piece has already been gifted to one of our contacts there, so they'll just need to accept it the way that it is. Hope that they like it.

Really a nice looking platter and the wood is outstanding. They will love it for sure.

Amazing wood and you did it justice with your form and finish.

    Excellent job.

Where did you get that piece of wood?

Thanks all for the positive comments, last minute packing going on and heading out the door in a few hrs.
J.K. I don't think that customs will be an issue, unless they want to keep the platter for themselves I've had lots of pieces go to China already as that's where my wifes family is.

    Cheers all

As I had seen that post, I said to myself, "Quilted platter, I bet that is going to be gorgeous." And I was right. I need to trust my genius more often.

    Seriously, a beautiful piece.
    Have a Nice Day!
