I submitted my entries for the B&B contest, and I thought I'd post them here for some C&C.
They're both about 8.5" tall and 5.5" wide. One is local elm burl with blackwood accents, and the other is buckeye burl with blackwood accents. Just for giggles, the finial on the buckeye piece was threaded. Both finished with shellac and formby's tung oil finish.
