DJ20 fence alignment a common problem?

Someone on the site in another thread commented that his DJ20 jointer fence went out of square to the table easily. Has anyone else had this problem, or is it just his machine? If so, is it easy to adjust back in?

Still trying to make up my mind on a jointer.

Never had a problem and it is totaly adjustable and there is a detent for repeating the 90 degree setting.

I caught mine off a time or two, but try to stay in the habit of checking it. I don't think it's a problem, just the guard banging against the fence over time can move it. I think in 6/7 years I've needed to adjust it 2/3 times.

I'm like John, in the 8 to 10 years (can't remember for sure when I got it) that I've had mine I have only adjusted the fence a couple of times and I check it every often.

It's not something that I would worry about.

Hey Dan, I wouldn't worry about the fence. I can't see how the fence can be knocked out of square unless the operator is a little rough. Once you set it up there is a notch for a positive 90 and then a handle to lock it in place. Its good practice to check it before using it anyway.
