    My FIRST Score!




    I've been a hobbyist woodworker since about 2003. As such, I've spent a good deal of time searching for wood...lumber...on the cheap. To this point, I've had very little luck at all. Until yesterday!

    My local Craigslist showed an ad for a load of cherry and walnut. He only lived a few miles from me, so I called and we met. A transaction was agreed upon, money changed hands, and I brought THIS home...

    I did the math this morning. That's approximately 161 board feet of Pennsylvania cherry, and about 41 board feet of black walnut. I gave him $275.00





    Now I just gotta figure out where to put it!!

    I hope you like Cherry! That's a great score and some nice looking size pieces. $1.71/bdft is definitely a gloat!

    Thanks, guys!!

    I didn't see any curl when I was sorting through it this morning. Definitely mill marks. As far as what I'm going to make....not sure!!
