    tormax bowl grind setting

    could someone please tell me the setting on the jig used on the tormax to obtain a suitable side grind for bowl gauges---tks,joe

    Joe -

    For my Tormek, when sharpening a <sup>3</sup>/<sub>8</sub>" bowl gouge, use settings in the vicinity of: α=50°, JS=3 and P=2¼" work pretty well. Of course, that is a starting point. Your preferences may be for a little bit different grind on the side.
