Jet Vortex DC Retrofit

I want to retrofit my Jet DC1100 with the vortex kit. Jet went from $32 to 105$. 1. Does anyone have the older. cheaper version for sale? Does anyone know the difference between the old unit, DC1100-47 and new version, DC1100-47CA?
Does anyone have ideas for a work around?

i mounted a steel wok that my wife found at the thrift store. looked very similar to the vortex, and it cost $6.50. i use it in a collector with pleated paper filter top that collects dust from a 25 inch dual drum sander. made a huge difference, cleaning filter 1/5 to 1/10 as often.
