    A shelf that was not much, but apparently good enough

    I made this to hold wood in the '80s, in probably half an hour, partly from concrete form boards.
    It's been in seven shop spaces, and lately filled pretty much solid with 3-4' long scraps and stock.
    A few 1 1/2" staples can hold a lot!

    I'd send it in to Fine Woodworking. It certainly has passed the test of time.

    Hah! Love it. I’m with Alan, at this point it qualifies as antique furniture.

    It's just gotta work, and it does. The structure is sound.
    Platt Montfort would have been intrigued.

    Cameron, I see you’re a devotee of The Early Ugly style, as am I.

    Put that shelf in a Brutalist building and you may be able to apply for Heritage status.
