    Epoxy question--Flex-Tec?

I need to repair a window sill that has some rotted wood and read an interesting piece today in the letters section of the most recent issue of This Old House Mag. The writer mentioned a previous article that talked about Bondo and suggested that it wasn't great for wood repairs since it doesn't expand/contract with the wood. He suggested a procuct called Flex-Tec. I went to their website and it looks quite interesting. Have any of you used it?

    epoxy Repair

Seeing as how your in Boston, contact http://www.jamestowndistributors.com...75192214FCDE18

THey're in RI and have been supplying boatbuilders for years. They'll set you up with epoxy and thickner to solve your problem. here's the link to their rot repair page http://www.jamestowndistributors.com...tegoryId%7E203

If the repair is too big, you might have to cut out the rotted wood and glue/nail in a replacement piece. This is called a dutchman in the trade. Seeing as how how the wood will more than likely be painted, no one will see the repair.

    Good luck
