I've seen 2" on ebay but they are cheap no name 1,3/4" in most turning shops Crown i know has one as well as packard sells one also so i'm sure there are several more.
Benjamin's Best has a 2" HSS roughing gouge...that's the biggest I've seen. Not sure that much bigger would be practical but they're probably out there somewhere.
Art Ransom is one nice guy. I met him a few years ago on a lathe acquisition trip to Texas. Here are a few pictures of a B I G gouge.

Biggest I've seen was 2"... that is until today. That gouge is huge! PSI (Benjamin's Best) has a 2 incher, and It'll run you $37.95. To tell you the truth, I was expecting a much higher price 'till I looked in the catalog.
