    Painting question?

I'm trying to remember if you can paint latex over oil pain, or oil over latex?

You can do both. Best to primer. I looked into this recently when I had oil based and wanted to cover it with latex. Most will recommend primer first. Todays paints are far better and you can do this.

Google will show a number of discussions on this. I ended up primer first. So far no problems.

Thanks!, I'm working to move the laundry room into the basement and I had to dig down next to the foundation a few years ago and disturbed the earth. I've had some seepage ever since and decided to stick some waterproofing paint on the stone walls before spraying the whole works with latex. Been picking up mis-tints at Home despot for a while. ($5 per can) Light colors mostly and figured on spraying whatever just to lighten the room and reflect light better.
