I posted this over on woodnet. But for those that go out as often as I do.... I never liked the proportions of an 18" x 5" plate. So I decided to make a Roubo saw. I also decided since this was a saw primarily for cutting thick timbers it should be more "roubust". Longer stroke, 0.032" plate, as well as a more robust handle including the lambs tongue. I also dropped the cheek just a bit which helps to protect the tongue as well. So hopefully the lambs tongue won't get chipped off so quickly. It's not quite finished as it still needs a logo etched on it and the teeth sharpened. This one is 10 ppi rip as requested by the owner and will probably have about 0.005" set per side. So there you have it. LE' ROUBO 20" tooth line x 5" under spine x 0.032".
