Just when I thought the garage sale season was over.....up pops a "Moving sale" Decided to motor down that way, and look around...

Tried to get a pair of rusty handsaws....for a couple dollars.....no-go.....$8 a piece? Hmmmmm, one saw seemed to be worth the cost..

And one for parts.....Parts saw did have the remains of a nib...

Meh. 8ppi was a bit too rusty....Maybe I can use the parts?

2 bolts....I can keep the handle for other saws....I removed the handle..had to hammer it off...because of all the extra holes in the plate, with burrs...apparently it is a replacement handle. Bolts weren't even the same.....parts saw.
Now that other saw?

According to the Disstonian site, this was a D-112, about 1928 or so. 7ppi, 26" skew back, filed crosscut, and still very sharp!

Might be worth cleaning it up. At least I can shine the brass stuff up....
Stay tuned...will post more, when I get the Disston cleaned up....
