Tis the season, once again....was even a sunny 70+ degrees outside....went to a couple yard sales, the Boss found a few items....then at a Rummage Sale...

Spent $2.25 for these two....normal sheet of paper envelope under them, for scale...

Seems to be an older Stanley, square shank, fluted wood handle..price tag says 25 cents

But, it is that $2 Ball Peen Hammer that has my interest...solid brass head has a bunch of lettering stamped in it

Seems there was a local Rail Road area here....before CSX, before ConRail, before Penn Central, and before New York Central...the C.C.C. & St. L. RR Co.

They had a large Roundhouse here in town, with all the shops needed to service the Steam locomotives they ran...maybe this hammer "ran away"?
