    Segmented Re-turn

I origanally did this piece in 2003. It is Lepoardwood, Redheart, Wenge and veneers. It is 8" dia. x 5-1/2" tall. I was quite proud of it then but as time has passed and as I have learned so much more about form I really became unhappy with it. The base was bigger and it was flat on the sides and the walls were to thick. So, as I have aquired the tools that would allow me to do it, I re-turned it, reducing the size of the foot and adding some curve to the sides, and reducing the thickness. It is still not a perfect form, in my eyes anyway, but it is so much better than it was. As always, your comments are welcome. (I just noticed in the pics, the white veneer lines look ragged. They are not that way in person)
