    Mission stuff

Attached are some pictures of my first attempt at Mission style furniture. The first project, a murphy bed/wall unit for our guest bedroom is more "faux Mission" since it's mostly oak plywood and standard casework. The hall table is all solid, though, with M&T joints in the legs and stretchers. The tenons were all cut on my RAS, and the mortises were roughed out on a drill press, then all of the fit and finish work was done with chisels. Both projects were finished with Watco.

    Hi Dave,
Nice job on your joinery and hall table.
Fair warning, many of us get hooked on Arts & Crafts style projects...
and have great difficulty building much else, for a looong time.
Cool approach to your bed/ wall unit.

    Keep up the good work.
And, in case you missed it, many of us are building Morris chairs (link):

    Very nice, strong looking table.
I was thinking about building a murphy bed like that for our guest bedroom, but got out voted.

Great fit/spot for that table. Really like the accented joinery. I've been wishing for a spot to fit one of those.
