    Installing Accuride slides

    No dumb questions, right?

I am installing accuride drawer slides. Is there a top to bottom clearance (vertical space between drawers).

I know you need 1/2 inch on each side.

    Thanks

You'll get a lot of variations on this one. For inset drawers in the shop, I use no dust panels or frame dividers. 16th to an 8th between drawers (hungry for storage). In utility drawer units (like kitchen or bath) I leave 1/4" from the bottom and 5/8" between drawer frames (bodies, sides, whatever) and the next fixture whether it is a drawer or a face frame divider. I use false fronts to fill the gap but, I am a total ammeter.

Go to the Lee Valley site below.

When you open the Accuride page they list all the slides they sell just above the chart you will see in blue "Inst". Click on this and you can down load the instruction for your slides.

An ammeter is an electrical instrument used to measured current.

The unit of current is the ampere.........Regards, Rod.
