Pieces for local public tv auction

This last week, I make two pieces for our local public TV's annual Art auction.

While doing them, I decided to do something differently in my finish.

Here they are for your comments. I'm especially interested in what you think of the grain pop and the overall appearance.

    Aeromatic Cedar 6" diameter X 3" high

    ash bowl 2 for wtvp47 2009 1.jpg

    Ash 7" diameter X 3-1/2" High

    Finishing:

    Sand through 4000 Grit

    Buff with Tripoli compound

    Buff with White Diamond compound

    Buff with Carnuba Wax

    That's all!

Total work time for finish 1Hr.

Thanks for looking and I appreciate your comments.

    Bruce,
I think you did yourself proud for a worthy cause. I don't do the carnuba anymore because it water spots so easy.
