You can pour epoxy all over your wheel weights/lead shot/whatever, too. Leave the epoxy exposed as it could look cool...maybe.

Bob,
Thanks for yet another extremely valuable lesson!
This one is particularly timely for me, as I am still working on my "hacker" bench.

James Krenov says that "the craftsman lives in a
condition where the size of his public is almost in
inverse proportion to the quality of his work."
(James Krenov, A Cabinetmaker's Notebook, 1976.)
I guess my public must be pretty huge then.
What happened to the photos that were originally part of this post? It would make the article much more understandable if they were still available. Thanks!
Hey folks, this is a clear example of why SMC prefers people to post their pix directly on this website. Posting pix as a link to another site often means the pix are lost when the other site goes down or the site owner deletes the pix because of storage or other issues. Please post pix directly here.

This old post is archived at Cian Perez woodworking page, search for the title or name:

I found Bob's tutorial on the Wood Central site, with pictures ... https://www.woodcentral.com/articles...ticles_608.php
The hardest part is making sure the file size isn't larger than the limit.
The little window icon >
Window Icon.png
Click on it and it should bring up a dialog box >
Dialog Box.png
Clicking on "Choose File" will land in someplace on the computer and from there it will be necessary to navigate to the folder with the image or file one wants to upload. For me it is easy to bring the image to the desktop or a preset folder to cut down on the navigation moves.
One disadvantage of this method is if more images are to be uploaded it may default on following uploads to wanting a URL. Then one has to click on the "From Computer" button.
Another method when posting more than one image is to "Go Advanced" or double click on the Reply button.
That brings up a wider choice of Icons >
Going Advanced.png
Click the paper clip to get this >
File Uploading.png
There is a + next to the "upload" button. Click it if you want to upload more than one file.
Then click on "Choose File"
This should get you a window like this (the last window from which you uploaded a file >
Selection Window.jpg
Once the file is uploaded, click on the down pointing triangle next to the paper clip to see this >
What's Behing the Paper Clip.png
Click on a file for it to be placed where the cursor is waiting.
The advantage of using "Go Advanced" is it is a bit faster and it is possible to type in text while images or other files are uploading.
Hope this helps.
