    Cherry Bowl

Cherry, cherry, cherry. Seems like that's all I turn, haha. Anyway, here's my latest, with 3 coats of teak oil, then 3-wheel buffed. About 9" x 3"; again, forgive the photography - one of these days, i've got to make a photo box. Comments, critiques always welcome. mike

Mike - cherry is my favorite wood to turn - so I really feel for you having to use it for turnings!

Interesting form on this one. I like the use of different angles on the outside of the bowl - but would prefer that the lip on the inside of the bowl be totally rounded over without the one sharp angle. That's just my opinion but I feel it would soften the overall look.

Nice bowl. Also like the softer finish on this one!

    Mike,
That bowl could be a spitting image of one my father used to put his keys in when he came home everyday from work some 40 years ago, I think it was cherry also. I have no idea where he got it. Anyway I really like the form and finish. Well done and thanks for the memories.
