    The rest of the Olive, Gloat :)

    Here is the rest of the olive. I didn't dig it out much, I'm sure there is more to get but it doesn't seem worth the dulling of my chainsaw anymore.

    Notice in pictures 3,4 and 5 there is dark wavy grain. I left the wood outside a couple days because I didn't have time to cut it up, and this is the result of the parts that weren't covered and were hit by the sun. Really made me realize what kind of affect the sun has on the wood.

    I'm really looking forward to turning the big one on the bottom of the last picture I'm thinking a wall hanging or two.

    Alex, there are some really wonderful turnings inside that stuff - you just gotta find 'em!!! Great score here, and you will be in olive chips for years.
