Roy, I agree with the others, a very elegant design. The ebony color is perfect!

The most expensive tool is the one you buy "cheaply" and often...
Elegant design and great work Roy..
I love it. Elegant, simple. Beautiful proportions and lines. The symbolism of three legs (trinity) may not have been intended, but comes through loud and clear.

very nicely done.
how did you attach the top to the legs?
Excellent design and execution

Took an easy way out:
Pocket Hole screws from the INSIDE faces of the legs-- into the top. This placement combined with the Ebony Stain makes them very hard to see unless you physically get under there (closely) and look.
I thought about grooving the top ends/edges of the legs to match grooves routed under the top.....and basically installing loose tenons......but these hold nicely. Being a more decorative piece, it shouldn't receive much abuse -mostly staying in one spot.
The three legs are all edge glued Long Grain to a 'skewed' six sided Ash block. I created a flat section on each leg for glue up. This center block has long grain 'end caps' attached top & bottom for more appeal.
Thank you all for your nice comments!
thx for the clarification Roy ... and Happy Easter!
Absolutely beautiful. The flow of the design is perfect. Very nice job.
