Looks great, and nice curves. I'd be worried about glue failure since it looks like that's what happened originally. What type of glue are you using?

Jim, I can't believe you're just "reasonably happy" with this piece. I think it's gorgeous! If you want, you can send it to me and I will be "extremely happy" with this piece.
Wow, nice save. Great looking piece, love the curves.
It's good to back away from a disaster for a bit and regroup, and regroup you did. That is a fantastic design and some very clever work. Definitely glad you decided to give it another go!
Great piece! Did you figure out what caused the glue failure?
Thanks for the nice comments. The original failure, I attributed to satle glue. Well thats my opinion. The glue was a Selleys product similar to your titebond 2. It is a polyaliphatuc, cross linked product. I have returned it to Selleys for appraisal, buut as yet have not had a reply. Interestingly, the bottle had no use by date of batch number. Will be fascinating to see what they have to say.

If you think you are too small to make a difference,
Try sleeping in a dark room with a mosquito.
very very nice..
pretty amazing what can be done by a skilled craftsman, well done and very pretty.
I'm really really happy you found all the pieces and finished your HF. That is absolutely stellar!! Thanks for sharing, now I have something else to try to figure out how to do (someday).
