    Finished up installing my first vise

    Not an awesome Veritas Twin Screw by any means, but until I make a proper bench, and the fact that I got the hardware for $10, this will do for now!

    The faces are from some scrap Red Oak I had from a project, 3/4" thick with all edges chamfered, no finish on them, should I finish them?

    I know it's nothing fancy, but it is better than clamping various blocks to the underside of the bench to have something to clamp pieces to!

    Oh, and the hardware is the Light duty Wilton from woodcraft that went on clearance sale a few weeks back...

    Nice! Guess what, you will be able to clamp wood and work it just as well as a high dollar vise at least 90% of the time. Good color also.
