So how did you apply veneer to those big curved sides?

Quite a project, sort of other worldly. Well done, they look great.

I really like these tables. At first glance I was not at all pleased with the design, after checking them out for a minute I've decided I want one in my living room. They grew on me fast to say the least. They seem as though they might be suprisingly functional as well as modern looking. Very nice job, and I do agree that leaving them unstained would have been my preference.

I also would like to know how veneering the curved portions went. How did you creat the curved sections? What method of joinery is used to put the curved sections together? And what material is the substrate for the veneer?

My wife wants them now! She loves zebrawood. I'll echo the questions on how ya did it regarding the curves and veneers. Beautiful job, Craig!

Had you not mentioned they were zebrawood, I'm not sure what wood I would have guessed...but I think zerbrawood would have been low on the list.

Count myself and my wife among those that love Zebra and both love the tables. I love the design and I agree it is a shame they had to be stained.

Very beautiful. They make me think . . . nautical. The stain does detract from the natural beauty but not everyone loves wood for its own sake like we do. The craftsmanship is still wonderful.
