    Great job. How are you doing the icilcles and finials?? Are you doing a tenon the size of the hole?? What are you gluing them with?? Thanks and thanks for showing.

    Nice job. I actually picked up some urchins this summer that I wanted to try this with. Maybe by next Christmas!

    John; The finials have a short (~1/16") tenon that is glued in with thick CA. I measured the hole at its widest, cut the tenon that size and then ground the hole to fit the tenon. A small flange hides the joint.

    I like the looks of these urchin ornaments... Mentally adding them to the to-do list. Nicely done.

    Dennis, some nice work here - and the stand is a very nice addition to the entire display. Wonder if these things take dye?? Might be neat in bright red and green.

    Yes RIT dye will work as I have used it on several pieces.
