Dan,
Your Right!
There is a permissions issue, I dicussed it with Aaron this afternoon and he needs to make a couple of changes, hopefully it will be corrected this evening.
Sorry for jumping the gun, I thought it was ready to go.

How to include a Friend of the Creek link in your signature:
Use the FOTC BBCode:
[ FOTC=id_number ] Your Business Name [/FOTC]
If you go to Friends of the Creek and find your listing, click on the plus sign in the bottom right hand corner, which loads your listing by itself. The URL will look something like this:
http://www.sawmillcreek.org/friends.php?id=8
Seeing that my ID is #8, in my signature I would use:
[FOTC=8]SawmillCreek.org[/FOTC]
which would produce:
SawmillCreek.org

Many members do not visit other than their primary forum. Woodworkers are a little more flexible than engravers as there are a number of forums which pertain to their work/hobby.
But none of the people I talked to on the engravers forum had seen the notice.

It works now... didn't know you could create your own meta tags for vB. That certainly limits what can be linked to, so cuts down on rogue links in sigs.

Aaron's post was a little confusing... I had to read it several times before I realized it wasn't an accidental misquote.
The trick is to use Aaron's new [ FOTC=userid ][ /FOTC ] meta tags... they work similar to the standard [ URL ] tags, but gives them the power to limit who can use them in their sigs. This also removes the need to enable the hotlink button in the signature editor.
Just place your user id (from the + sign link) in the new tag (with your company name in between) and you're good to go...
For me, it's [ FOTC=60]Hi-Tec Designs, LLC[ /FOTC ]. When you remove the spaces from the tags, it works...

Noticed the big change. guess it will take some getting used to but Where did the red oval go for the FOTC? The only ones i can find are in some signatures. Did a search for mine but the choice of colors makes it hard to read. I understand your instructions above but need to find my ID first.
Here is a pic of what I am talking about with choice of colors when trying to read an FOTC link.

Michael,
Use this link:

The text colors still need serious tweaking before the FOTC listing is usable again, but at least you'll be ready.

Hey Keith,
Just checking on my FOTC edit where I added my website. It says something like it will be reviewed before posted. I did it last week and it still is not showing up. I know your busy with your new toy but I do not know who is in charge of that part of the FOTC.
Thanks and I look forward to seeing more about your monster laser.
You may need to make a sign : "No animals or humans allowed in side laser area".
Your PM mail box is full

Michael,
Aaron is in charge of the FOTC Directory and he is the only one who can review and approve entries. I will be talking to him later this evening so I will ask him to check for updates.
