A friend gave me a gallon of EM6000 for Christmas and since I don't have a spray system Is it possible to brush on EM600 over shellac (dewaxed flakes) rather than spraying it on?

I would post that question on the Target Forum.

EM6000 is formulated for spraying, but it can be brushed. I've brushed it on small test boards and been surprised at how well it levels out. It does dry quickly, so larger panels may require a retarder such as Target's SA5. You can also retard by adding water up to 10% by volume. If you get heavy brush marks, just sand level and rub out (after minimum 100 hours cure time) or apply second coat. If applied within 24 hours no scuff sanding necessary. Gently and thoroughly stir the product well before use - avoid introducing air bubbles. Use a soft synthetic bristle brush. Clean with warm water and soap.
