Smile Last one to show before I go and soak up some sun in CUBA

Finish sanded this one today and wiped on some polymerized tung oil, it wasn't the easiest to sand, being it was warped a bunch, but got it done nevertheless

It is Siberian Elm with a little spalting in the way of light coloration, it is 9" X just about 3" high, it is pretty thin, certainly less than 1/8" haven't measured it to say exactly .

Anyway don't be looking for comments for at lest 2 weeks, when I'll be all warmed up and fatter/relaxed etc

    Comments welcome anytime

Very nice. I love the way the grain swirls around the bowl of this one. Beautiful work, Leo.

I've never seen Siberian Elm, that is some gorgeous wood, nice color & grain, and looks like we'll see plenty more from you. I like this form, Leo, kind of a Scandanavian feel to it. Hoping you have a great vacation.

Never knew siberian elm was so pretty inside. I once had a house with 3 of them in the yard, and they shed branches like a dog sheds fur. If I'd been a turner then, I might have taken one down for the wood.

    Have fun and drink rum!
