    Mesquite gloat

Got to visit with friends near Georgetown, TX this weekend and came home with a car full of mostly Mesquite, plus some Mustang Grape over 4" diameter with a huge burl and another burl from a fallen Live Oak. Altogether a very pleasing weekend!

    Wow...that's a lot of mesquite.

I bet if you listen carefully, you can hear the worms munching.

Great gloat. Love turning mesquite as you can go from start to finish and it doesn't move. Ought to be a lot of nice turning.

Any worms yet? Seems like I never had a piece of mesquite that didn't have 1) worms and 2) a crack through the pith. But I sure love to turn mesquite.
