    Elm burl on a stick

    This piece is just over 11 inches tall overall. The pedestal and finial are Holly, I decided to leave them white for a change. The elm grain was left unfilled for contrast with the smooth Holly.
    Comments and critiques are welcome.

    Beautiful! If I had to pick at nits, the foot seems a little plain for such a fantastic form... Had to get out my microscope to even find that nit! Great stuff!

    Very nice, I really like the simple clean lines on the pedestal and finial, they really let the HF take the show, and well that it should!
