    Woodcraft Damascus knives

Has anyone purchased the Damascus kitchen knives from woodcraft? Are they any good? Do they hold their edge?

    Thanks,
    Shawn

I'm not a knife expert, but I did make one of these for my SIL at my daughters request. He collects knives. He was happy to get it, but I have no idea how well it holds an edge.

Just bought two strips of Damascus steel custom made for me. The examples can be found here http://khudoshun.blogspot.com/

This no reclama because I live from the opposite Earth side - Ukraine.

But let's turn to my Damascus strips. They are from two steel strips welded together - outer has made from Damascus but side which will be inner side of marking knife has made from instrumental steel - with high carbon %.

Like Japanise marking knives - inner side will be more stressed and more harder and britle, outer strip has a nice look but is softer.

These were made by my order.

    Sorry for English.
