    Me Too! (accepted that is)

I didn't want to hijack Jason's post by mentioning it there, but I also had a piece accepted to the Tohono Chul Park’s Mesquite exhibit .
I only submitted one piece since most of my better mesquite pieces have permanent homes, mostly with family members, and my mesquite burl pieces were turned after the deadline.

I'm pretty excited about having a piece accepted, and I think it's a good omen that the reception is on my birthday !

Kathy, congrats to you, as well! I looked up the exhibit and see that the pieces will be offered for sale, and at a 40% commission - that is a very good arrangement in today's environment. Good luck with the exhibit!

Congratulations, Kathy. I would love to see the exhibit considering my afinity for mesquite.
    You certainly deserve this.

  11. Way to go Kathy, natural edges are my favorite and the ne hollow forms are so unusual they really take the spotlight, yours is excellent and your admission is well deserved.

Congratulations to you also Kathy. You Arizona guys are lucky to be able to get so much mesquite to turn. I have had a few opportunities to turn some and it's a great wood to work with.

Congrats, Kathy! We'll probably be visiting Tuscon this summer so I may have to check out the exhibit.
