    Off topic anywhere I guess

    Why do people put religious tag lines on woodworking/machining/motorbiking/fly-fishing forums? Not calling anyone pilgrim out here but it's not germane to our forum and it is "political" in it's own right and politics is verboten on our forum.

    Chris- maybe try a little tolerance. You don't need to agree, and you don't need to pay attention. Why not just peacefully coexist?

    1. They might perceive religion as a foundation of their lives that impacts everything, including writing on a forum.
    2. They might want to exercise freedom of speech and religion.
    3. They might want people to see that religious people can be woodworkers.
    4. They might feel a religious connection between carpentry and woodworking.
    5. They might..........fill in the ..........
    6. Life proves easier while not trying to figure out every Tom, Dick, and Mary.

    Try turning off signatures (and avatars,too), it cuts down on the background noise.
