    Anniversary Gift for MiL.

I bought this chunk of Maple Burl at the AAW symposium in San Jose last year. It has been sitting and teasing me since; I could just hear it calling out to me "You don't know how to turn a natural-edge bowl... hahahahaha".
Well, SWMBO decided mom needed a bowl for her anniversary gift so I decided to challenge myself. I think I did pretty good for my first try. And the wood did absolutely fabulous at making me look good!

10" diameter, 3-1/2" tall, 3/8" thick, finished with Deft rattle-can gloss lacquer.
