    Drum Sander Paper

Where should I look to find the strongest, most durable paper for my General International drum sander?
    Thx

Here is a good place. Klingspor's sandpaper is a nice quality.

Peachtree has 15% off and free shipping (over $50) going on now. Just another source.

+1 on Klingspore. I use their resin over resin on my drum sander and air bags and use their discs and mop sanders as well. Super long life.

Another vote for Klingspore. Longer life, cut better, and less tendency to clog than the OE Delta strips I was using.

I've had experience with Industrial Abrasives. They sold me a "non-standard" quantity in bulk to accommodate what I needed for my 25" wide drum. As a hobbyist the paper seems to last a long time.

I've tried them all but I always go back to industrial abrasives. Best price and best quality.

BTW, you can use 3" wide on that, Cut it like you would for a Performax 25" That is what I do for mine. I also use Industrial Abrasives as a supplier.

Is there any advantage to using 3" paper instead of 4"

The biggest advantage is that it is easier to find. In my case, I has several rolls left over from a Performax sander that I had before the General. 4" is not as common as the 3" size.
