Hi guys, I have a lower volume cabinet shop (about 15-20 new home packages per year). That isn't a ton of volume, but enough that I can't mess around with hobbyist coatings either.
To this point we've been using the Sherwood line of coatings, but really want to shift to waterborne. I've looked at several, and have found myself leaning toward GF professional line and Target. GF is more expensive but I can get it somewhat locally if needed. There seems to be more positive reviews for GF as well.
My first question is what difficulties am I going to run into spray WB coatings in a production setting? Are there any professional shops here using GF coatings for kitchen and bath cabinets? Which do you prefer; Lacquer, Clear Poly, EnduroVar, or Conversion Varnish? What stains are you using under the WB topcoats?
