I am looking to buy two pedestals for a large table. Does anyone know of a good source for these? I am not sure of wood species yet as I am just starting to think about this project. It is for a co-worker.
Thanks

I'm pretty new here, not as as experienced as most. Please don't hesitate to correct me
Most of the pedestals sold as parts are clunky and ugly. Same with the pedestal tables in furniture stores. Look at some of the
Duncan Phyfe tables. Real, not new. A plain tapered one by a turner with a good eye would be more graceful than most
catalog stuff.
+1 for Osborne, I bought legs for a farm table I built, good service and prices.
If you're not going to make them yourself, I agree Osborne is a great resource. I've bought table expansion slides from them; their customer service is excellent and I believe they are still a relatively small family run operation.
