    We have A LOT of grandkids: they all live elsewhere, and I miss them.
    Youre a fortunate man, but if your daughter lives close by, you'll get a lot of quiet time as your wife helps raise the child.
    Young enough to remember doing it;
    Old enough to wish I could do it again.

    I may have a shop partner in training.

    3 year old grandson Jacob wanted a hook for his Little Tykes play kitchen. We went to Home Depot and I put him in the shopping cart seat. I took him first to some hooks around the picture frame section. He didn’t like them. He said, “I have an idea” and pointed. So I decided to see where he would take me. With only a couple of dead ends, he navigated me to the coathook section and pointed out the exact hook he wanted. Better choice than what I initially offered.

    this kid had only been to hd 5 or 6 times. I thought all that rubbernecking was just him, you know, rubbernecking. It turns out that he cognitively mapped the store! Yikes!
