Wondering if anyone here has dealt with this before. About 3 years ago, either a tornado or straight-line winds blew through a pine plantation — see photo for end results. My question: if I were to cut and either leave the trees in log form, or mill into lumber - will the resulting logs/lumber retain this shape, or should I expect some “spring back” once cut. How stable would you think the logs will after being cut? My idea is to build a small log A-framed cabin, using these curved logs for the joists, maybe 10-12’ tall.
