Crosscut Sled also works with Dado Blades

This has become my favourite sled. Small and lightweight, it handles most tasks.

As the sled is only on one side of the blade, dado blades can be used.
In addition to dado cuts, the dado blade can cut tenons.
Flip stops with tape measure enable precise and repeatable cuts.
Panels can be trimmed square, and no rear fence to get in the way.

We call these sleds NYW panel cutters, as that's where we first saw them. The Dubbly uses same principles. Instead of five cut method, we use two cut method. Just as accurate, and no figuring, then dividing. I prefer for runner to stick out slightly in front of sled, as it makes it easier to drop in miter track. I would adapt the Dubby's style of fence end over blade, as it allows for replacement. Love the idea of the shims. Instead of using ruler to set fence, I just cut a piece against the stop, then measure it, and set fence to this measurement. As usual, great job, and a lot of thought!
