There have been no posts from John since mid March this year. Does anybody know why. I have always enjoyed his thoughtful and thorough responses, and subtle humor. Hope all is well.

We have been having a similar discussion "behind the scenes" and have not been able to make contact to-date. EDIT: He's ok. His story to tell, however.

The most expensive tool is the one you buy "cheaply" and often...
Agreed, JKJ's posts are most often informative and thoughtful. John is the guy we all wish we had as our best friend or living next door. Wish him good health for a long time.
Was just thinking the same. Glad to hear he’s ok
I actually enjoyed a “Creeker Visit” with him a few years ago at his place. He’s ever more gracious and entertaining and generous in person than he is here on The Creek. And what a stash of wood! Holy cow! I brought him some mesquite, and he sent me away with LOTS of different woods that we don’t have in Houston or Texas. I’m so glad to know he’s ok!
Don't let it bring you down,
It's only castles burning,
Just find someone who's turning,
And you will come around

Good to hear he's okay
I was just wondering about John last week or so, as he has always added so much to the different forums.
I do hope he and family are well at this time.
Thanks, Lee. Sorry for the mix up.
