On 8/12/03 I purchased the Ridged 12" sliding miter saw.
Yesterday I went to make sure it was true and could not do it.
The saw would lean downward more than 1/16" when you
pull the saw toward you. I called Ridged service and told them
of my problem, the only question was if I had the saw less than
90 days. Since I did not, they told me to bring the saw back to
H.D. for another one. I returned the saw with no box, dust bag,
clamp only the reciept. Store manager wanted to know if
I wanted another Ridged, my reply was "only if I have to".
Anyway I got the DeWalt 12" sliding miter saw.
When I purchased the ridged saw I recieved the MSUV rebate,
which I do not have to return $200.00. I also recieved a rebait
from DeWalt for a 2" brad nailer$120.00, which I will send
out tomorrow. I also brought in my 12" Freud Diablo
blade (lifetime warrenty), told them it was not cutting
the way it used to andthey gave me a new one of those too.
Anyway I took the Dewalt out of the box and tested to see
how true it was. Dead on is all I can say. The only sad part
about H.D. today was when I got home I recieve my 10% off
vouchers in the mail today.
