Aloha Waymon... I served the USAF from 1980-1984 Strategic Air Command 351st Strategic Missile Wing as a Team Chief on the Minuteman II Missile. My father was a 25yr vet that served with honor in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam, receiving 2 Silver Stars w/valor, 3 Bronze Stars, 2 Purple Hearts among other decorations. While I was growing up, he was my hero and still is to this day. I would never have known about his achievements had my sister not visited our grandmother who gave them to my sister. My father never talked about his deeds or awards. I grew up wanting to serve my country because of who my father was.
